After five solo albums spanning over a decade, it may seem a reasonable time for former Statler Brother Jimmy Fortune to release his first solo hits collection. However, 2015's Hits & Hymns consists of 15 entirely new recordings with an all-star guest list that includes Vince Gill, the Oak Ridge Boys, Ricky Skaggs, and Dailey & Vincent, among others. Songs include traditional tunes such as "Danny Boy" and "Rock of Ages," Statler classics like "More Than a Name on a Wall," and tender originals including "If I Was God." ~ Marcy Donelson
