Better Ash Than Dust
Audio Mixer: Derek Hoffman.
Recording information: Fox Studios, Toronto.
Arriving just one year after Stick to Your Guns' hard-charging, John Feldmann-produced fifth full-length studio outing, Disobedient, the Better Ash Than Dust EP is the band's first release for new label Pure Noise. The first single, "Universal Language," dropped a few months ahead of the five-track EP, as a response to the recent flurry of shootings in the U.S. and the deadly bombings in Baghdad, prompting frontman Jesse Barnett to opine "this song is for the world who only communicates with violence and to those who only open their mouth when things get bloody." ~ James Christopher Monger
